An Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) in Lahore Wednesday granted post-arrest bail to nine suspected allegedly involved in burning a container at Kalma Chowk, Gulberg on May 9, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
ATC Justice Ijaz Ahmad Buttar conducted the case proceedings, wherein the police produced Muhammad Ramadan, Zahoor Al-Amin, Hamza Babar, Mazhar Abbas, Saqib Rehman, Naeem Abbas, Muhammad Sajid, Abdul Qayyum, Ahsan Ali, Muhammad Aslam, Junaid, and Waris. They were arrested under the charges of arson, vandalism, and burning a container at Kalma Chowk during a protest after Imran Khan’s arrest on May 9.
The court in its verdict accepted the bail petition of nine workers. The court directed the workers to furnish surety bonds of Rs 100,000 each for availing relief of the bail.
The court also dismissed the post-arrest bail applications of three PTI workers including Muhammad Aslam, Junaid, and Waris.
