A 23-year-old cyclist from Mardan, Sanaullah, has made his city and province proud by clinching three gold medals in national-level cycling competitions.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, for the past eight years, he has dedicated himself to professional cycling, becoming a force to reckon with on the national circuit.
Sanaullah has participated in 37 domestic competitions and proven his mettle repeatedly, emerging as a national-level champion multiple times. His skills earned him selection thrice for international events, but each time, the crushing weight of financial hardship forced him to stay home.
“This is an expensive sport,” says Sanaullah. “Despite being chosen for international contests, I couldn’t go because I couldn’t afford the costs. If I receive government support, I can proudly represent Pakistan on international tracks.”
Despite his incredible potential and hard-earned achievements, Sanaullah continues to train and race without sponsorship or official backing.
He calls upon the authorities to step forward and assist talented athletes like him—individuals with the will to win but without the means.
