A 5.4-strong earthquake on Monday jolted Islamabad and a number of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Tremors were felt in Peshawar, Buner, Malakand, Mardan, Chitral, Landi Kotal, Jamrud, Kohat, Hangu, Swat, Mansehra, Dera Ismail Khan, and other areas.
Some other parts of the country were also affected including south Punjab. The jolts were felt in Multan, Mianwali, Khushab and Kundian.
The seismic activity took place at a depth of 215 kilometers in the Hindukush region in Afghanistan.
No injuries or damages have been reported so far from any of the above-mentioned areas.
