Two young girls were killed, and their parents were seriously injured when the roof of a house collapsed in the Kohatian neighbourhood of Mianwali on Monday, officials said.
The deceased were identified as 11-year-old Sadia and 8-year-old Nadia. Their father, Muhammad Deen, and mother sustained serious injuries in the incident and were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Majid Bin Ahmed visited the hospital and inspected the site of the collapse.
Speaking after the visit, the official said the two girls died on the spot when the roof caved in.
Authorities are assessing the circumstances surrounding the incident.
