Pakistan High Commission in Malaysia has rescued 54 Pakistani nationals stranded at Kuala Lumpur Intercontinental Airport on Saturday night.

In a tweet, the Pakistan High Commission in Malaysia said that food and accommodation have been provided to the stranded Pakistani nationals after their ‘release’ from Kuala Lumpur Intercontinental Airport yesterday.
According to the press release of Pakistan Mission in Malaysia, 54 Pakistani nationals scheduled to travel to Pakistan by Thai and Emirates airlines were standard at Kuala Lumpur International Airport since yesterday (March 21) after the airlines refused to allow them boarding in wake of restrictions on air travel to Pakistan.
“The situation became complicated. On receipt of information, Pakistan Mission immediately mobilized its officers to reach out to the Malaysian immigration authorities to facilitate the re-entry of stranded Pakistanis.”
“We owe profound thanks to Malaysian authorities for their support,” the Pakistan High Commission said.
It may be noted that a Movement Control Order banning all non-essential movement and social interaction has been in place since March 18 in Malaysia.
