Dera Ismail Khan Police have arrested the suspects in the murder case of a six-year-old boy within 36 hours. The accused, the child’s real mother and stepfather, were presented before the media. Both remained silent during mediamen’s queries.
Addressing the press conference at Cantt Police Station SP City Tayyab Jan, DSP Hafiz Adnan and SHO Azeem Khan shared the details of the case. Police officers said the child’s body was found near Jamia Eidgah Kalan at Sehri time on 20th March.
A special police team was formed to investigate the case. Within 36 hours, the team solved the case and arrested the child’s stepfather, Tahir Hussain, and his mother, Kiran.
During questioning, the stepfather admitted that he strangled the child. The mother confessed that she placed the body near the Eidgah. The suspects were presented before Judicial Magistrate’s court. The police have been granted a three-day physical remand for further investigation.
