Advisor to Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Amir Mir has said that the PCB is going to start ‘Talent Hunt Programme’ at school and college level, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Saturday, Amir Mir and CEO PCB Sameer Ahmad said that the Talent Hunt Programme is being launch on the directions of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
Amir Mir said the main objective of Talent Hunt Programme is to promote sports especially cricket.
Talent Hunt Programme will bring forward children who play good cricket, said Aamir Mir.
He said registration of children will start from next month and PCB will provide all facilities to selected boys and girls.
PCB experts will provide the best training to the children, Aamir Mir said.
Talking on the occasion, CEO PCB Sameer Ahmad said the Pakistan Cricket Board will bear all the expenses of the events.
The event will produce good Under-19 players, PCB Chief Operating Officer said.
He said PCB will provide all facilities including coaching to the best players.
Head Woman’s Cricket PCB Rafia Haider said that girls will also be registered under the same portal.
There are few events for girls, so they are being given an opportunity, Rafia Haider said.
Replying a question, Sameer Ahmad said no official of PCB was invited to the Champions Trophy final ceremony.
A reply was sought from the ICC for not inviting the host country to the final ceremony, Sameer Ahmed said.
The ICC's response is not satisfactory and we will contact them further, Sameer Ahmed said.
