Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Karachi Kings have signed South African batter Reeza Hendricks as a replacement for West Indies wicketkeeper-batter Johnson Charles for the 11th edition of the tournament.
The franchise announced that Hendricks had been added to the squad after Charles withdrew from the competition due to personal reasons, dealing a late setback to Karachi Kings ahead of the start of the new season.
Karachi Kings wished Charles well following his withdrawal, while moving quickly to secure an experienced replacement in Hendricks, who brings international and franchise T20 experience to the side.
Hendricks, a regular feature in South Africa’s white-ball setup, is expected to strengthen Karachi’s batting line-up as the team finalises preparations for the tournament.
The 11th edition of the PSL is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3, with Karachi Kings set to open their campaign on March 27.
