Hollywood superstar Zendaya revealed she devoured the entire Twilight Saga in just one day to prepare for her upcoming film The Drama, co-starring Robert Pattinson.
The actor approached the iconic franchise with fresh eyes, aiming to understand her co-star and the emotional world of the story before stepping onto the set.
Actor Zendaya has disclosed that she watched all the films in The Twilight Saga before filming The Drama, which hits Indian screens on April 3, 2026.
Rather than relying on nostalgia, she focused on appreciating the cultural impact, characters, and emotional tone of the franchise to build a stronger connection with her co-star Robert Pattinson and the universe he helped bring to life.
“I was like, ‘How have I never seen these movies before?’ But I felt like I had to, it’s like a cultural phenomenon that I hadn’t been a part of yet. I watched all of them in like a day. It was great, I enjoyed myself,” Zendaya said in a recent interview.
Speaking about her experience on The Drama, she added, “These characters are unique. They’re very unique people, and the circumstances are quite unique. It reveals a lot about love, what we’re willing to do for it, what we’re willing to accept, and how much you really know your partner.”
Robert Pattinson appreciated Zendaya’s dedication, stating, “It’s interesting she just had to see what I’m about. She liked them apparently. She watched all five in two days—that’s impressive.” He also praised their on-screen collaboration, saying, “It was so fun. I love working with her. I think she’s great, and I’d do it again and again.”
The Drama is already generating buzz as it brings together two globally renowned actors for the first time. The film explores modern relationships, delving into the complexities of love, conflict, and perception, while examining how personal connections can blur with public narratives.
With its focus on emotional depth and nuanced characters, The Drama promises a compelling, character-driven story for audiences
