Islamabad High Court on Thursday restrained private housing society Park View City from collecting additional development charges from customers on plots, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
IHC Justice Inam Amin Minhas while hearing the case issued notice to housing society’s owner Aleem Khan to file reply within 10 days. Islamabad High Court also sought the approved layout plan of the private housing society from CDA.
Qasim Chatha and other allottees had challenged the notice issued for collection of additional development charges on the plots. The court issued a stay order to the extent of the petitioners on the notice to collect additional charges on the plots from the allottees.
Raja Zeeshan Khan Advocate appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioners.
According to the petition, the private housing society is demanding development charger from the allottees of the allotted plots, written order said.
According to the lawyer, the notice of collection of additional charges is illegal and tantamount to harassment of the allottees. The court issued notices to the parties and adjourned the hearing till June 3.
