Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanja said Thursday if K-Electric Chief Executive Officer (CEO) failed to attend the next meeting of Sindh Assembly meeting for briefing to the public representatives on load shedding crisis, his arrest warrant will be issued, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
Addressing the provincial assembly meeting, Ziaul Hassan Lanja assured MPAs that government will resolve the issue of power supply within a few weeks.
During the session, Sindh Home Minister said, “CEO K Electric is playing with the future of children, “but we cannot bear it, and we will take immediate action”.
He further said power outage in Sukkur goes beyond 48 hours and there has been no electricity in Robri and people were ready to protest on this issue.
He emphasized that K Electric is not Israeli and we are not citizens of Gaza. Even HESCO and SEPCO have behaved more arrogantly than K Electric.
He said next week, the government will call the CEOs again or issue their warrant. He also said that “we should present the resolution to cancel the K Electric License”.
Sindh Home Minister stressed that it is the twice time ECO K Electric has not come to the meeting, which is offensive behavior. He said next meeting will be convened on 1st June.
