Bid to smuggle scores of luxury vehicles foiled by Customs staff

The Collectorate of Customs impounded smuggled goods and vehicles worth Rs715 million during anti-smuggling operations in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to details, during the ongoing crackdown against smuggling, customs team seized 78 luxury and non-duty paid vehicles, which include Lexus, Range Rover, and G Wagon.

Customs Islamabad also raided two godowns and recovered a large quantity of foreign origin perfumes, cosmetics, and edible items, heavy bikes, and 40 motorcycles.

The Pakistan Customs team also intercepted different trucks and recovered 15,000 cigarettes, which were being smuggled to Nowshera.

It is necessary to mention here that Pakistan Customs adopted a zero-tolerance policy against smuggling, and anyone found involved in smuggling will be dealt with as per the law.
