The Federal Investigation Agency claimed to have foiled a human trafficking attempt at Multan International Airport by offloading two women passengers and arresting five suspected agents and facilitators linked to an exploitation network.
According to FIA immigration officials, the women were allegedly being sent to Oman on family visas through fraudulent documentation and misleading information.
The officials said initial investigations revealed that the suspects had obtained visas through deception and false claims, while the women were allegedly lured with promises of employment opportunities and a better life abroad.
The FIA said the operation led to the arrest of five agents and facilitators believed to be part of a network involved in the sexual exploitation and trafficking of women.
Officials added that the arrested suspects had been handed over to the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation and legal action.
