Most parts of Pakistan are expected to remain under the influence of cold and dry weather tonight, with northern areas likely to experience severe cold.
According to the latest forecast issued by meteorological authorities, parts of Punjab may see light smog and fog, particularly during the early morning and night hours.
Islamabad & Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The federal capital is forecast to remain cold and dry tonight and throughout Sunday.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will experience similar conditions, with temperatures dropping sharply in hilly areas during the morning and night. Light fog is likely in Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Dera Ismail Khan and surrounding areas during late-night and early-morning hours.
Punjab
Punjab will also remain cold and dry, while Murree, Galiyat and neighbouring hill stations are expected to face extra chilly weather. Smog is likely in major urban centres including Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur. Light fog may form in several areas during the morning and night, affecting visibility for motorists.
Balochistan & Sindh
Balochistan will experience cold and dry conditions across most districts, whereas Sindh is expected to remain dry with mild winter temperatures compared to the country’s northern belt.
Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are set for cold and dry weather, with severe cold anticipated in morning and night hours.
