The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has constituted a larger bench to hear multiple cases related to jail meetings with the PTI founder, scheduled for hearing tomorrow (Thursday).
According to court sources, the larger bench comprises Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar, Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, and Justice Azam Khan.
The bench will take up several related petitions, including the request filed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi seeking permission to meet the PTI founder.
In addition, the bench will hear a plea filed by prisoner Irfan, who has requested the same prison facilities as those provided to the PTI founder.
Contempt of court petitions filed for non-compliance with earlier court orders allowing meetings with the PTI founder are also on the docket.
Petitioners in these cases include Senator Shibli Faraz, Aleema Khan, Salman Akram Raja, and others, who have accused authorities of violating the court’s directives regarding access to the incarcerated party leader.
