The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has confirmed that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 will be conducted on schedule, rejecting rumors of a postponement after some students sought to delay the exam.
According to a statement issued by the PMDC, the High Court has dismissed a petition filed by a group of students requesting an extension of the exam date. The Council clarified that all arrangements have been finalized for the smooth and transparent conduct of the test across the country.
The PM&DC said that exam halls have been booked nationwide, and provincial authorities have completed their preparations. It further added that foolproof security measures are in place to ensure a peaceful and fair examination process.
The Council also stated that the printing of question papers and issuance of admit cards have been completed, while over 140,000 candidates are registered to appear in this year’s MDCAT.
The registration portal, the PMDC noted, had been opened twice for candidates’ convenience, and the exam date was already extended once to accommodate students affected by floods.
“The Council has provided sufficient time for all candidates to prepare,” the PMDC spokesperson said, adding that there will be no further delay in holding the MDCAT.
