One terrorist of Fitna al-Khwarij was killed and several others were injured when security forces eliminated terrorists’ bases and tunnels in Bajaur forest, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to sources, security forces have successfully carried out operations against Khwarij in Bajaur area and have completely cleared the Khawarij hideouts and tunnels in Shahi Tangi forest.
Based on intelligence, security forces launched a full-scale operation by ambushing a cave in Shahi Tangi forest.
During the operation, there was a heavy exchange of fire between Khawarij and the forces.
As a result of the firing, one Khawarij was killed while other injured Khawarij fled the area.
Security forces also cleared the tunnels and nearby places in the area.
During the operation, weapons, explosives and communication equipment used by Khawarij were also recovered.
Pakistan Army and security agencies are determined to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the country.
