An attempt to stop alleged drunken people from causing a ruckus in the Sambal police station limits turned violent when a mother, daughter, and son were brutally attacked by suspects on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the FIR, the incident occurred at Naswar Mor where accused Owais Butt and others were allegedly involved in causing a ruckus while intoxicated. When the complainant’s son tried to intervene, the suspects caught him and began beating him.
The complainant stated that upon seeing her son being assaulted, she and her daughter rushed to the scene but were also attacked. The suspects allegedly beat them with iron rods and sticks, causing the daughter to faint. During the assault, the clothes of the mother and daughter were also torn.
The FIR further revealed that when locals gathered after hearing the commotion, the accused opened fire in the air before fleeing the scene.
Police officials confirmed that a call was received on helpline 15, and officers immediately reached the spot. The injured daughter was shifted to a hospital in an unconscious state via a police van.
Sambal police registered a case and launched an investigation. A raid was carried out at a camp to arrest the accused; however, they remain at large. Law enforcement assured that the suspects will be apprehended soon.
