The controversial statement made by PTI’s Junaid Akbar landed in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday when a trader from Islamabad filed a petition in the high court, seeking the initiation of contempt of court proceedings against the PTI leader, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In his petition, Waqas Ahmad stated that in one of his statements, Junaid exhorted people to march on Islamabad, which was a blatant violation of the IHC’s order dated September 14, 2026.
Waqas filed the petition through his lawyer Akhtar Cheena.
