New measures have been immediately implemented at the National Assembly secretariat in order to cut down expenditures, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the notification issued on Tuesday, 50 per cent of secretariat employees would now work from their homes.
However, they would have to reach the office at one-hour notice, and would not be entitled to receive diet allowance and overtime charges.
The notification also imposed a ban on official foreign trips for a period of three months.
It said that all employees would remain accessible through telephones, e-mails, WhatsApp and other means.
None of the employees would be allowed to leave his or her station without seeking permission from the concerned authority.
The notification further read that the supply of fuel to government vehicles had been cut down by 50 per cent for a period of three months.
It also imposed ban on the purchase of new vehicles.
Besides that, the notification stated, meetings, barring intra-city, would be held preferably via a video link.
Standing committees’ meetings would also be held online, it added.
The notification imposed complete ban on the purchase of new items; except those related to IT.
No official dinners would be hosted except for foreign delegations.
The notification also placed a ban on organizing seminars, training sessions and conferences.
It said that if inevitable, meetings would be held in the official auditorium or committee rooms.
In order to cut down expenditures, it was decided to adopt paperless working environment.
