A Gulf Air flight has taken off 113 Pakistanis stranded in Bahrain after the coronavirus outbreak, the Pakistan Embassy said on Thursday.
As a goodwill gesture, the Bahrain government arranged a Gulf Air flight for the return of expats, including the countrymen released on a royal order, embassy said.
Pakistani Ambassador Afzal Mehmood and the Community Welfare attaché saw off the expats.
Expressing gratitude to the Bahrain authorities, the Pakistani diplomats said the ties with the Arab state are time-tested. The Bahrain-Pakistan relations to grow further, they said, shedding light on the role of countrymen in Bahrain development.
