Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday approved re-modeling, expansion and construction of additional two lanes of Faizabad Interchange, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He gave these directives while presiding over a special meeting to streamline traffic rules and to start new projects to address traffic issues on permanent basis in the city.
It was decided that a new underpass and two additional lanes will be constructed in Faisal Chowk Underpass.
Mohsin Naqvi directed that future issues must be considered prior to start of new underpass.
The Interior Minister further directed to construct a food street and a parking plaza as per best business standards.
He directed for construction of new parking areas in plazas located in different areas of the City.
He said that locations of new parking areas must be identified on priority basis.
