PML-N spokesperson and former information minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has blasted the government for suggesting that the opposition parties are demanding NRO by forwarding amendments in FATF laws.
In a tweet on Sunday, Marriyum Aurangzeb said National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser set up the parliamentary committee to review the FATF laws because the incompetent ministers failed to do so on their own. The National Assembly also endorsed the setting up of this committee.
“I ask from Shibli Sahab, did the NA speaker demand any NRO. Or the whole house demanded so,” she maintained.
https://t.co/sxYIo0L3I0 pic.twitter.com/7Y71d2HhHa

In another tweet, she said Shibli Faraz is accusing NA Speaker of demanding an NRO. The committee also included those people from the government side who are wanted in cases such as Malam Jabba, BRT, Billion Tree Tsunami, Helicopter, 23 secret accounts, foreign funding corruption, and flour and sugar theft.

Marriyum remarked opposition leaders have faced cases, they have spent time in prisons and in NAB jails. Courts have ruled in their favour which proved their innocence, she added.

Earlier in a statement, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the Punjab government and its Health minister Yasmin Rashid gave permission to former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to travel abroad.
In a statement, the PML-N leader said that ‘rented’ spokespersons should better concentrate on resolving the issues of the general masses instead of tweeting on Nawaz Sharif matters.
She further asked about the return of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen, who is involved in sugar theft.
When will the government give one crore jobs to unemployed people and five million houses to homeless people, she asked.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the national development has decreased to 0.4 ratio from 5.8 in PTI tenure. The price of sugar has reached Rs110 from Rs52 and flour is being sold at Rs78 from Rs33, she stated.
