An unbeaten century from Mackenzie Harvey propelled the Adelaide Strikers Academy to a seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh A on Saturday, securing their place in the semi-finals of the Top End T20 Series being played in Darwin, 24NewsHD TV reported.

Chasing a competitive target of 176 at the Marrara Cricket Ground No. 2, the Strikers achieved the target with a comfortable 11 balls to spare.

Harvey crafted a scintillating 102 not out from just 53 deliveries, laced with 16 fours and one six.

He received steady support from opener Jake Winter, who contributed 35 off 35 balls, while Harry Manenti provided a late flurry with a brisk unbeaten 25 from just 14 deliveries.

The Bangladesh-A bowling attack had few answers, with only Saif Hassan and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury managing to take wickets.

Earlier, after being put into bat, Bangladesh A posted a respectable total of 175 for 4.

Jishan Alam was the top scorer with a fine half-century, while Afif Hossain played a crucial supporting role, remaining not out on 49.

Alam built a foundation with a 48-run opening stand with Mohammad Naim (15).

However, a double-strike from Strikers' bowler Hanno Jacobs, who removed both Alam and Saif Hassan (15) in the same over, checked their momentum.

Jacobs finished as the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-32.

A strong, unbroken 70-run partnership between Yasir Ali (25) and Afif Hossain then helped Bangladesh A recover to a competitive score. Jerrssis Wadia was the other wicket-taker for the Strikers.
