Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday directed launch of an operation to remove all illegal encroachments in the federal capital by September 30. 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He gave these directives while presiding over a special meeting in the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Headquarters in Islamabad.
It was decided during the meeting that the foundation stone of the T-Chowk Flyover and the Shaheen Chowk Underpass will be laid in September.
During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi directed private housing societies to strictly implement on rules and regulations. He also directed to start upgradation work on the Diplomatic Enclave.
The participants of the meeting reviewed the re-modelling of Daman-e-Koh and construction work on new and pending projects.
Mohsin Naqvi sought a comprehensive plan for the construction of two new five-star hotels in sector F-13 and E-13 in Islamabad and to complete initial work by September 31, 2025.
Earlier, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi handed over 22 newly-constructed police stations to the Lahore police. During his tenure as Chief Minister Punjab work on the upgradation of these police stations was started.
Construction of 36 smart police stations was on the cards, out of which 22 police stations were constructed in Johar Town, Samanabad, Nawankot, Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate, Lohari Gate, Kot Lakhpat, Batapur, Shera Kot, Wahdat Colony, Sundar, Shaiqabad, Harbanspura, Town Town, Nishtar Colony, Shaikar, Islampura, Gujjarpura, Ghalib Market, Sanda, Shahdara, and Shad Bagh police station.
The new police stations buildings will become operational in next few days.
