Twin brothers marrying twin sisters is not unheard of, but a wedding in which even the priests performing the ceremony and their assistants are twins has left people amazed, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.
The extraordinary wedding took place in India’s southern state of Kerala at the historic St Mary’s Syro-Malabar Metropolitan Cathedral in Changanassery, where a Catholic Christian ceremony turned into a remarkable celebration of twins.
Twin brothers Akhil K Thomas and Nikhil K Thomas tied the knot with twin sisters Meghy Mary Thomas and Maria Mary Thomas, respectively, in the presence of their family members and guests.
However, the surprises did not end with the two twin couples.
The wedding prayers and religious ceremonies were conducted by twin priests, Father Anto Pezhumkattal and Father Aju Pezhumkattal, while their assistants were also twin brothers, Jeron James and Johon James.
Guests were astonished to discover that almost every key role in the ceremony was being performed by twins, making the occasion seem like a scene from a film — but it was a real-life event.
After details and videos of the unique wedding emerged on social media, the ceremony quickly attracted widespread attention, with users sharing amused and fascinated comments about the rare gathering of twins under one roof.
