Govt notifies appointments, transfers, retirements in bureaucracy

The federal government has issued orders for the appointments, transfers, retirements and leave of 17 officers belonging to the federal bureaucracy. 

OSD Mirza Nasiruddin Mashhood Ahmed, Grade 22, has been posted as Special Secretary Petroleum Division, while OSD Muhammad Riazuddin Khan has been posted as Director General, Ports and Shipping Wing, Karachi. Director General Ports and Shipping Wing Alia Shahid has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary Finance Division. Furthermore, OSD Dr. Muhammad Tahir Noor has been posted as Additional Secretary Planning Division. 

Senior Joint Secretary Cabinet Division Humaira Azam Khan has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary Climate Change Division, while Member, Federal Board of Revenue Umbreen Iftikhar has been posted as Additional Secretary Finance Division. 

OSD Muhammad Ijaz Ghani has been appointed as Senior Joint Secretary, Climate Change Division, Sarfaraz Durrani, who is awaiting appointment, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Division, OSD Azra Jamali has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Overseas Pakistanis Division. 

OSD Tariq Mahmood Javed has been posted as Joint Secretary Planning Division and Muzaffar Ali Burki, who is awaiting appointment, has been posted as Joint Secretary Communications Division, while the services of Grade 20 officer Muhammad Adnan Diyar, who is awaiting appointment in the Establishment Division, have been returned to the Pakistan Post Office Department. 

In addition, the additional charge of Director General of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority has been assigned to Muhammad Imran Khan Mohmand of Grade 21. In addition, a notification has been issued for the retirement of Aamir Mohiuddin, Additional Secretary, National Food Security Division, Grade 21, Secretariat Group, on November 18, 2026, upon completion of the age limit of 60 years of government service. 

Furthermore, the services of Captain (retd) Chaudhry Owais Afzal, Grade 18 of the Pakistan Administrative Service, posted in the Islamabad Administration, have been handed over to the Pakistan Cricket Board. 

Also, the services of Umar Muhammad Azam Khan, Grade 19 of the Pakistan Administrative Service, Deputy Secretary, Inter-Provincial Coordination Division, have been transferred and handed over to the Punjab Government. According to another notification, Pakistan Administrative Service, Grade 21 OSD Establishment Division Jawdat Ayaz has been approved for leave to travel abroad from December 21, 2025 to January 21, 2026. The Establishment Division has issued separate notifications for all orders.
