Former federal minister Dr Gohar Ejaz on Tuesday said that the bidding process is being held for the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and “whoever wins PIA's bid, Pakistan will win.”, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
On the eve of PIA privatization, Gohar Ejaz, in a post on X platform, said, “We are moving forward by sacrificing everything to restore PIA's glorious past.”
Dr Gohar Ejaz said that the winner of the bid will restore PIA's glorious past and slogan. He recognized the efforts of the Privatization Commission to include major business groups in the bidding for PIA.
The former interim minister said that PIA has incurred a loss of Rs800 billion in the last 20 years, and the national airline was facing severe difficulties due to financial difficulties.
Gohar Ejaz expressed the hope that Pakistan International Airlines will gain its full momentum soon, and the entire nation will feel proud of PIA.
