A judicial magistrate of Karachi West on Sunday granted one day of physical remand of accused Sahar Hassan and handed him over to police custody, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the hearing of the case today, the Special Investigative Unit (SIU) of police produced the accused, and the investigation officer (IO) informed the court that police recovered more than 500 grams of narcotics from the possession of the accused.
The magistrate further directed the investigative officer to produce the accused in the court tomorrow.
It is necessary to mention here that accused Sahar Hassan is the son of renowned TV actor Sajid Hassan.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the investigation into Mustafa Amir’s kidnapping and murder case has taken a dramatic turn with the arrest of four young men, including actor Sajid Hassan’s son, during a police operation in Defence.
Authorities stated the arrests were related to drug trafficking and possession as drugs were recovered from Sajid's son. The police are questioning the suspects about their involvement in the case. This development is expected to help investigators gain more information about the incident.
It is worth mentioning here that Mustafa went missing on January 6, and his mother filed a report the next day. The case took a turn after a ransom call was received on January 25. A raid on February 9 led to a violent standoff and the eventual arrest of Armughan, key suspect, who later retracted his claim of disposing of the body in Malir.
Further investigation revealed that Armughan, with accomplice Shiraz, murdered Mustafa after a dispute over a girl. Authorities are now seeking the girl’s testimony, with efforts underway to contact her through Interpol.
