The first meeting of the Political Coordination Committee established by Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, held in Islamabad and chaired by Vice Chairman Mustafa Malik, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The meeting was attended by members including Dr Amjad, Tariq Hassan, Intikhab Khan, Rizwan Sadiq, and Dr Rahim Awan.
The Political Coordination Committee has prepared an agenda for consultation with the parties included in the government alliance.
Talking on the occasion, Mustafa Malik said that the Political Coordination Committee has prepared recommendations for national reconciliation.
He said that after the permission of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, the committee will start meetings with opposition parties, civil society, and media.
The Muslim League has proposed to further expand the coalition parties, Mustafa Malik said.
Mustafa Malik said that it has also decided to take guidance from like-minded political parties and senior politicians.
There is no harm in meaningful discussions with opposition parties to address national issues and challenges, the Political Coordination Committee stated.
