Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli added another chapter to his illustrious career by achieving two major milestones during India's high-stakes ODI clash against Pakistan at the Dubai Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Kohli surpassed 14,000 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs), further cementing his status among the greatest batsmen in the sport. He needed just 15 runs to reach the landmark but went on to remain unbeaten on 27 at the time of reporting.
In addition to his batting milestone, Kohli also showcased his fielding brilliance by taking two crucial catches, bringing his ODI career tally to 158.
This feat made him India’s all-time leading fielder in terms of catches taken in ODIs, surpassing former captain Mohammad Azharuddin, who held the previous record with 156 catches in 334 matches.
Kohli’s exceptional performance in both batting and fielding underscores his enduring impact on Indian cricket.
