A young man was shot dead during a robbery incident while withdrawing cash from an ATM in Sialkot, police said.
According to officials, the deceased was identified as Umair Ijaz, a salesman by profession. He had reportedly left his shop late at night and went to withdraw money from a bank ATM when he was targeted by a robber.
Police said a motorcycle-riding suspect snatched the cash from Umair Ijaz and opened fire when he resisted, resulting in his death.
A case has been registered at the Crime Control Department (CCD) police station, and investigations are under way.
Authorities said CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, in which the young man can be clearly seen being shot. Police are examining the footage to identify and apprehend the suspect.
