Six people were killed when unidentified assailants opened fire in the border area of Chidagi in Panjgur district, police said on Monday.
According to police officials, the attackers targeted the victims with gunfire, resulting in six fatalities on the spot. After the shooting, the assailants also set two vehicles on fire before fleeing the scene.
The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital for necessary legal formalities and post-mortem examination.
Police said a search operation has been launched to trace and apprehend those involved in the attack. Investigations are under way to determine the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident.
