Three people lost their lives while 12 were injured in a head-on collision between a van and a car at GT Road near Sarai Alamgir, district Gujrat, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
According to the report, Motorway Police and Rescue 1122 rushed to the spot and shifted the dead bodies and injured to THQ Hospital, where four of the survivors are currently in critical condition.
Preliminary findings point towards the primary cause of the accident being the over-speeding of the involved motor vehicles.
The authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain additional details surrounding the incident.
