Five people became seriously injured when the roof of their mud-made house collapsed due to heavy rain in Khyber, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The incident took place in Bata Tel area of Khyber. Soon after receiving the report, Rescue teams rushed to the spot and rescued the five people who were dumped under the debris with the help of residents.
Later, Rescue team shifted the injured persons to the hospital in critical condition.
On January 22, 2026. a child aged one year lost his life when the dilapidated room of a house collapsed in Shalobar area of Bara, tehsil in Khyber district.
According to Rescue 1122 Khyber, the room suddenly gave way, trapping the child, identified as Hassan, son of Usman, under the debris and causing critical injuries.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene, pulled the child from the rubble and provided first aid before shifting him to the hospital.
Despite efforts by medical staff, the child succumbed to his injuries and doctors confirmed his death.
Such incidents have deeply shocked the local community and once again highlighted the dangerous condition of old and unsafe houses in Khyber district, raising concerns about public safety and housing infrastructure in the area.
