A District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has issued an arrest warrant for former Sindh Governor and senior PTI leader Imran Ismail in connection with a vandalism case linked to the party’s long march, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.
Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan ordered the arrest and production of Imran Ismail after he failed to appear in court. The case was registered at the Bara Kahu police station under sections related to vandalism during the PTI’s long march.
The court has already acquitted PTI founder Imran Khan, former federal minister Zartaj Gul, and several others in the same case.
The hearing into the charges against Imran Ismail is scheduled to continue tomorrow, with authorities directed to ensure his presence before the court.
