Travis Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, has opened up about his son’s high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift and how their connection may deepen once the NFL and Eras Tour seasons wrap up.
In an interview aired on Australia’s Today show, Ed shared his thoughts on the future of Travis and Taylor’s relationship.
“I think, you know, once we get past the Super Bowl, I think it’s going to be a very good time for the two of them,” he told the hosts.
With Travis focused on the NFL playoffs and Taylor performing across continents on her record-breaking Eras Tour, the couple has had little downtime together. But Ed believes that a calmer schedule will give the two space to grow closer.
“Without the NFL season, without the Eras tour. Just them alone are connecting more. I think that can only be a good thing,” he added.
The father of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end also responded to ongoing speculation about Taylor Swift’s rumoured appearance at the Super Bowl on February 9 in New Orleans.
“I have no idea,” he said, admitting he had not spoken with her this week. “I would let her publicist talk to you about that,” Ed quipped with a smile.
Ed went on to praise Taylor’s growing interest in football, revealing that the singer has been making an effort to learn more about the sport.
“She’s watching football with her dad a lot. She’s watching football whenever she can,” Ed noted, calling himself a “huge fan” of the singer.
With both stars nearing breaks in their hectic schedules, fans are hopeful the couple will get more quality time together.
