A woman, namely Naseem Bibi, died due to severe torture by her husband, Noor Mohammad, in Pattoki, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The son of the victim woman said that his father started beating his mother with sticks last night, and today he again physically tortured her, after which she died.
Local police said that the dead woman was 38 years old. The police also registered a first information report (FIR) on behalf of the victim's brother, Zakaullah, and started an investigation.
Four arrested for torturing student in Narowal
Police arrested four people after a video surfaced on social media showing that about a dozen people brutally beat and tortured a 9th-grade student with punches, slaps, and sticks in the Narowal area.
The incident occurred in the Noor Kot area of Narowal. The father of the victim said that his son went out to pick his sister up from her school in Narowal, but on his return, the four accused brutally tortured him.
Police, after registering a case, started raiding different locations to apprehend the remaining accused.
