Kerosene oil has become more expensive by Rs1.71 per litre following the latest revision in petroleum product prices, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The notification issued on Saturday stated that after the increase, the new price of kerosene oil has been fixed at Rs313.44 per litre.
Before this increase, the kerosene oil was being sold at Rs311.73 per litre.
Last night, the government has announced a reduction of Rs6 and Rs6.80 per litre in prices of petrol and diesel, respectively.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the new price of petrol is now set at Rs403 per litre, while the price of diesel has lowered to Rs404 per litre.
This change in prices will take effect immediately across the country from midnight tonight.
The adjustment comes even as the government announced a reduction in prices of other petroleum products for the second consecutive week.
Last week, the price of kerosene oil was decreased by Rs7.23 per litre.
