Lahore High Court has summoned Accountant General Punjab in a contempt of court petition for non-payment of pension dues to a retired technician Muhammad Farooq of Jinnah Hospital, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the hearing, Justice Khalid Ishaq ordered the AG Punjab to appear in person in the court on October 3, 2025.
According to petitioner Muhammad Farooq, he retired after serving as a technician at Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, but despite the passage of several months, his pension dues were not paid. The petitioner further stated that despite the clear orders of the court, the AG Punjab has not paid the dues, which is a violation of the court orders.
After the initial hearing, the court summoned the AG Punjab and remarked that non-implementation of the court order is equal to gross negligence and contempt of court orders. The case will be heard further on October 3, 2025.
