PTI General Secretary Salman Akram Raja said that PTI founder has the right to be present in the courtroom, adding that video link trial of Imran Khan in GHQ attack case was based on injustice, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing workers at Dahgal check post near Adiala Jail, Salman Akram Raja said that PTI founder appeared in Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court today through video link. He said today attempt was made to conduct the trial of Imra Khan through video link.
Salman Akram said during the hearing neither the voice of the founder of PTI reached to lawyers and judge, nor did lawyers voice reached him, resultantly lawyers protested and boycotted the hearing of the case.
Salman Akram said that PTI founder has been deprived of the right to meet family and friends during appearances. Tuesday is the day of meeting but no meeting was arranged with Imran Khan.
PTI General Secretary said Islamabad High Court full bench decision still lacking implementation and none of our requests were heard in the Islamabad High Court. Salman Akram declare this as injustice, he said we will not leave Imran Khan alone, as we stood with him yesterday and is still standing today.
Salman Akram said that the government did not compensate the farmers, the agricultural sector suffered a loss of 2 trillion. The sugar was exported to create a shortage, the mill owners were given billions of rupees in benefits too, as the public was robbed when prices increased. Raja said that the country has the highest unemployment rate in history right now and only the founder of PTI can get the country out of crisis.
Salman Akram Raja has said that on court orders PTI legal team and party leadership should have been allowed to meet PTI founder Imran Khan but courts orders have been flouted time and again. Talking to media outside Adiala Jail Rawalpindi, Salman Raja said PTI will continue to raise voices against atrocities.
He said Imran Khan’s nephew and other PTI leaders and workers were give sentences by the military courts and according to apex court order, the military court’s convict have right to appeal. He urged the government to follow the laws made under 26th constitutional amendments.
Meanwhile PTI founder Imran Khan’s spokesman Niaz Ullah Niazi said Imran Khan’s families was denied meeting on Tuesday and Thursday. He said during the last five months, family members were not allowed to meet Imran Khan. Niaz Ullah Niazi said Adiala Jail superintendent was so powerful that he was not allowing meeting despite court’s orders. Niaz Ullah Niazi said Imran Khan has urged the nation to come out and make Peshawar rally a success.
He said Imran Khan has made it clear that it will not make deal or compromise over stolen public mandate. Niaz Ullah Niazi said PTI will face fake cases and will not bow in. He said masses con not be controlled by the government. Meanwhile, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan, Noreen Khan and others continue to wait for meeting Imran Khan at Dehgal check post along with PTI workers.
Noreen Khanum told media that PTI will continue to face atrocities and oppression and will continue to raise voice for the masses.
