The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Punjab has arrested a 17-year-old student from Bahawalpur for allegedly poisoning his father after seeking guidance from artificial intelligence on how to administer poison, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The action was taken under the directives of NCCIA Punjab Director Hussam bin Iqbal, following intelligence received from abroad.
According to the investigation, the teenager had allegedly established a home laboratory inspired by the crime drama Breaking Bad, where he prepared poison using chemical materials sourced from Australia and Islamabad.
The accused reportedly turned to artificial intelligence for guidance after an initial attempt to poison his father failed.
The case has raised serious concerns over the potential misuse of artificial intelligence and the online activities of children, highlighting the challenges authorities face in monitoring harmful digital interactions.
