Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi has decided to shift classes for all degree programmes online from Sept. 24 until further orders due to the prevailing law and order situation in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
According to a circular issued by the university administration on Sept. 23, the decision was taken during a meeting of deans and directors.
The university said all classes would be conducted online from Thursday until further notice.
The administration has also directed all male students residing in university hostels to vacate their accommodation by 12 noon on Sept. 24.
Students have been advised to take their important belongings, including laptops, mobile phones, electronic devices and cash, with them while leaving the hostels.
The circular, however, stated that all university employees would continue to remain present on campus in person.
The measures have been taken in view of the prevailing law and order situation in the twin cities, the university administration said.
