The Islamabad High Court heard petitions seeking the suspension of sentences for human rights activist Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha in the case concerning controversial tweets, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

During the proceedings, Faisal Siddiqui, the counsel for Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha, requested that the petitions be disposed of in light of a recent Supreme Court judgment.
"You have received relief now," Justice Azam Khan remarked to Faisal Siddiqui.
"What exactly has the Supreme Court written regarding the hearing of the appeals?" asked Justice Azam Khan.
"No, nothing of that sort is written," replied Advocate Faisal Siddiqui.
Justice Azam Khan directed Advocate Faisal Siddiqui "Read the Supreme Court's order".
"The court has stated three things in its order," the Special Prosecutor noted.
"Never mind; you weren't present, you were on leave, weren't you?" Faisal Siddiqui said to the prosecutor.
Advocate Faisal Siddiqui read out the Supreme Court's order.
"The appeals have been revived following the Supreme Court's extraordinary relief," the prosecutor observed.
"Had the appeal died previously?" asked Advocate Faisal Siddiqui.
"We will issue an order," remarked Justice Azam Khan, concluding the hearing.
