Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi met U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker in Islamabad on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The meeting covered the strengthening of Pakistan-U.S. relations, investment opportunities, and bilateral cooperation.
The two sides also discussed the latest regional situation, efforts for peace and stability, and regional security matters. Both sides agreed to further strengthen mutual engagement.
US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker appreciated Pakistan’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
Earlier, on Tuesday, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian during his visit to Tehran.
During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi emphasised the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the areas of trade, economy, tourism, politics, culture, and science during a meeting with Masoud Pezeshkian.
Pezeshkian, referring to the extensive potential of Iran and Pakistan, stressed the need to strengthen trade, energy, tourism, and joint investment. He said the two countries can meet part of their needs by relying on their regional capacities.
Mohsin Naqvi described the current relations between Tehran and Islamabad as being at a high level and expressed Pakistan’s readiness to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
