Government sponsored medical treatment for veteran stage actor and comedian Abid Charlie has commenced at General Hospital Lahore.
Abid Charlie is currently admitted to Medical Unit II of General Hospital, where doctors have conducted his initial medical tests. However, his MRI scan is still pending.
A private room has also been allotted to the veteran actor on the special directives of Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique.
Speaking about her husband’s treatment, Abid Charlie’s wife expressed satisfaction with the medical care being provided and thanked Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique for his support.
She also expressed gratitude to everyone who reached out to the family, offered support and prayed for the actor’s recovery.
Abid Charlie, whose real name is Muhammad Siddiqui, is a veteran Pakistani stage and television comedian known for his work in Punjabi and Urdu theatre and comedy productions.
The actor has faced serious health complications in recent months and his family expressed concerns over the financial burden of his medical treatment.
