Pakistani doctor turned actress and digital creator Dr Tamkenat Mansoor has taken a satirical swipe at the intrusive comments and outdated restrictions women often face during their menstrual cycles.
In her latest comedic sketch, Tamkenat mimicked the familiar family members who seem to have an opinion about almost everything a woman does during her period, from how much water she should drink to whether she should sit under a fan.
The sketch also highlighted the way women are often questioned and shamed for resting during painful cramps, missing prayers or being unable to complete their usual household chores.
Through humour, Tamkenat drew attention to the lack of understanding and empathy surrounding menstrual health, particularly when women are already dealing with physical discomfort and hormonal changes.
Her take pointed towards a wider social problem where periods are still surrounded by unnecessary restrictions, unsolicited advice and embarrassment instead of basic awareness and sensitivity.
The humour queen is known for using comedy to comment on everyday social issues.
Tamkenat has built a following through character driven sketches and later transitioned into acting, appearing in projects including Kala Doriya and Standup Girl and Jinki Shadi Unki Shadi.
