Gold and silver prices registered continued decline in both international and local markets on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
In the global market, the price of gold per ounce dropped by $29 and settled at $4,685. Resultantly global retreat hits rates in local markets across Pakistan.
According to All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs2,900, bringing down the rate to Rs490,862 per tola.
Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold saw a reduction of Rs2,486 and settled at Rs420,835.
Silver prices also followed the bearish trend. The price per tola of silver fell by Rs142 to reach Rs7,957, while the rate for 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs122, closing at Rs6,821. Spot silver fell 0.7% to $74.88 per ounce, platinum lost 1.4% to $1,978.84 and palladium gained 0.4% at $1,475.35.
