Pakistani star javelin-thrower Arshad Nadeem will participate in the World Athletics Championship in Budapest, Hungary on Friday, reported 24NewsHd TV channel.

He will compete in the qualifying round of the event.

According to Pakistani time, the qualifying round will kick start at 2:45pm.

He is aiming to make a comeback at the 2023 World Athletics Championship.

Arshad Nadeem has issued a video message, saying that he is fit and will prove his mettle.

He stated that he will strive to perform at his best, as he is returning to the international grounds after a one-year break.

Arshad Nadeem underwent elbow surgery in December 2022, took time for his rehab, and returned to the competitive field in May at the 34th National Games in Quetta.

Although he failed to demonstrate his fitness there, he managed to secure a gold for his department, WAPDA.

During the event, he suffered a major setback when he had his right knee injured making him skip the Asian Championship in Bangkok.
