Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Alia Neelum left abroad to participate in an international judicial conference, while Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh took oath as the acting Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
The oath was administered by Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza during a ceremony held in the Judges’ Lounge of the High Court. Several judges from the principal seat, including Justice Rasaal Hassan Syed, Justice Khalid Ishaq, Justice Jawad Zafar, Justice Malik Muhammad Owais Khalid, and Justice Javed Iqbal Wains, were in attendance.
Prominent legal figures, including Additional Advocate General Hafiz Muhammad Latif Khawaja, Additional Advocate General Qamar-uz-Zaman Qureshi, former Lahore High Court Bar President Pir Masood Chishti, Deputy Attorney General Rafiqat Dogar, LHC Bar President Malik Asif Naswana, Assistant Attorney General Barrister Sajjad Rizvi, and Additional Registrar Syed Shabbir Hussain, also attended the ceremony along with other High Court officers.
